China Comments as of week of 1/27
I have come to realize that The relationship between China and America should be more of hostility than friendship. We are a major trading partner with China, but politically, we have been terrible to China. I have also come to realize why trade with China is so important. With 900 million peasants that corporations could turn into potential buyers with the right resources, China could be a gold mine for businesses to profit off of. My opinion on China being a very strong superpower has diminished and now I only believe that they are a super power in size and not military/economical might. My views on China have been changed and I do not know how I feel about China anymore.

US and China- Alliance or Feud
China and the US are in an uneasy state with their "friendship". In one sense, they are friends because the US imports products from China, and also exports ideas in order for cheaper manufacturing in China. This is good for the US because things are cheaper. This benefits China because they profit from it. This could also be looked at as a bad thing because it is reducing the number of jobs in the US. Manufacturing jobs are being moved over seas and people in the US are being laid off because China makes things cheaper than we could. On China's side, this is again a good thing because it creates more jobs in China. The relationship in the manufacturing/economic sense is in favor of China.
At the same time, the US opposes communism and China is under communist rule. The main ideas of the two countries clash and the US is uneasy about the spread of communism. By opposing communism, the US probably alienates Chinese leaders. This creates the state of 'frenemy' between the two countries.
